Mine has it's issues due to age but it has taken me places that I can't even walk through where I hunt. Time for some new parts and add-on accessories to make life easier for an old man in the woods Thank you!
Just this past weekend I had to cross a creek with no good spots to do so and next I know, I am sideways on two wheels with only me holding her up. Freespooled out 40' of winch line, wrapped it around a tree and back to the tow hook on the front. With me holding my baby up from one side and working the winch and throttle in 4w I got her up the bank and on flat ground. A little wet, muddy but not walking a mile out of the woods Roll on Arctic Cat!!!
Runs great. Recent carb rebuild. It can be hard to find the right parts, so if anyone has any insight, I would welcome it. I need some advice on the max winch load an A-Cat frame can handle front and or rear. Currently have a lb winch on th front but I want to upgrade the front and mount one on the rear.
On that note, anyone have info on best way to mount a winch on the rear of a atv and if it is a workable idea. You may also find the service manual for your machine under technical information. One option for the winch is to buy a 2 inch receiver plate mount and put the winch there. You can get a set of high current connectors like ones used for jumping vehicles and make the winch removable.
Other option is to weld a plate at the rear bumper assembly and install a winch as shown in this picture. Please login to view attachment.

Here is my list, some I have had, some I got online I have put all Manuals on my dedicated server, so the links won't go dead. Most the manuals listed below are on the server and there may be some on the server that's not on the list.

The current problem is as specified below. Starts and idles fine when cold. Will rev to mid range when cold. As it warms up it will not rev and idles poorly as it gets warmer. I thought might be a problem with the ignition coil so I replaced it with a new one, no improvement.
It doesn't backfire or stutter. It just falls on its face when the throttle opened. Also no smoke out exhaust. I changed the carb to a new Mikuni VM32 which is a common swap. Fuel tank was cleaned, a new shutoff valve, new fuel filter, new fuel line installed. Air filter, ignition coil are new. CDI was recently replaced with an aftermarket unit. I verified fuel is flowing from tank to carb.
Fuel tank vent is not clogged. Still no improvement. Possible valve adjustment problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Are you new to the site? Where are you from? I ride a Yamaha Rhino. She's my muddy baby!!!!!! Several aftermarket parts on her. She's good to me! We try and ride every weekend. This weekend we're off to MOAB! Looked at this one-owner today. Pics below. Do you see TONS of cash being tossed into this thing? I like the low miles but I don't like the electrical "arrangement.
